  1.                       Stowaway version 2.20

  3. This is a newest version of Stowaway.  All archival/restore functions
  4. are 100% tested, and we are confident in these functions.
  5.  
  6. Volume compaction is a new feature to Stowaway.  It reclaims space on
  7. the floppy disks, and makes the space available for future archivals.
  8. This function has been tested EXTENSIVELY, but we want to be SURE that
  9. it is working properly before making an official release of Stowaway.
  10.  
  11. Volume compaction removes the active files off of disks which are more
  12. than 60% empty, and appends these active files onto the end of the
  13. archive set, freeing up the disks for reuse.

  15. In the event of a problem:

  30.         Edit Groups:

  32.                 Press 'E' over a group to edit the group name and
  33.                 description.

  35.         Edit Descriptions on files:

  37.                 Press 'E' over a filename on the file list to edit a
  38.                 file's description.  NOTE:  This process can be lengthy.
  39.                 If you are editing a large number of files, it is
  40.                 recommended that you use the /SV and the /EV parameters
  41.                 to narrow the number of files being viewed.

  43.         Change groups

  45.                 While selecting files for archival press <F5> to change
  46.                 groups.
